PlanetDevlog #6 - Level 1 alien progression
Level 1 facilities for the alien civilization has been done. Making all of the facilities was not hard at all. I had already done mose of the work necessary for making each facilitiy, all I had to was change the mining vessels and settlement fleet a bit. Aliens will buy facilities and expand on their own much like the player.They will mine away asteroid belts, create satelites and fly out to other plants to colonize and expand. The only hard part was making the aliens progress even if the player is not viewing that system. I plan to make it so the player can choose whether to have a certain amount of alien civilizations or for it to be randomized. If they choose a set amount then they will each spawn at a random star in the galaxy. If they choose for it to be randomized then each planet will have a small chance to foster a civilization. There would be a very very small chance that there would no aliens but in that case, the player would expand uninhibited and would be very confused.
